i have one of these and have no complaints ,, it even replaced my cobra 148 after a bit of time i realised it was just as good a radio 8)

the good old beetles,, is it a classic one ?? if so....there are 2 sorts,,,does your beetle have a dynamo or a alternater ,, dynamo will have a rectifier pack mounted externally somewhere, it may be that you could upgrade to a alternater and that will cure the problem ,as during the dynamo days a bi...

i have an antron and the tape over the ends of the pipe is a good idea that i will use ,, i never thought of doing it but seems very practical,,

also ,,,,,,,,,, will it be good to upgrade to a heavier coax other than the rg58 6mm stuff that is standard,,,, i plan to use 400 little helpers on a rare occasion that i have a emergency that telephone lines are down and power is out 8) which leaves me no choice :wink: if there is a coax upgrade ,,...

one antenna , two cb's

is there a gadget for switching between rigs ?? i know you can get them to switch between antennas , or are they the same thing just reverse it the other way so you put each rig into antenna 1 and 2 and so on???

i was going to have a little experiment of my own ,, but you just saved me some time :D :D :D

i am going to try the sirio 4000 on the roof of my house against the a99 so i will let you all know soon , i will put a fiver down that the sirio 4000 performs as good as the a99,,

hi again,, i just wondered , when i bought my antron a99 i was informed that the swr is factory set , so i just stuck it up in the air , i did check the swr and it was high ,, after a conversation with a few owners they said raise it as some of the antenna was close to the wall ,, i raised it as muc...
