YOU NEED AN SWR METER AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THE ANTENNA NEEDS SHORTENING BUT YOU CAN ONLY TELL THIS WITH A METER

yes you will find very few reputable dealers will sell you spare parts as they have learned in life that when then customer makes a pigs ear of fitting it the they are on the phone saying you sold me a duff one so itseasier just to do the repair thereselves

lookimg at the loading coils it looks like a radio ham antenna the only way to be sure is to use and analyser on it

T800 foold me as well when you first switch it on it gives the impression of being on freq but this is miss leading you need so select the uk according to the book and then you will get sound
