I have not used one, Im not very familiar with there 70/2m antennas if you give them a call they will give you alot of advice

If you order it all from thunderpole they will help you get it set up, I think I adjusted my swr by the length of the sections which tighten down with a jubilee clip. Give Andy or Colin a ring at thunderpole they will answer all you questions.

I have not used this radio, however I have had a kit from thunderpole before and they are very good value for money and are very helpful people I have bought some of there own brand antennas and have never been disappointed

My first antenna was a thunderpole half wave silver rod it was very well built and they were very helpful with getting it set up however I think it may be worth pushing the budget a little bit more and buying an A99 from them (my second antenna) very impressed with the antenna !

Well got my icom 706 and have the A99 for 10m but at the moment 10m is very flat, I have been looking at these hygain 640 just wondered if anyone had any experience with them ?

Sorry been very busy with work ! Well it was a long time ago since I used mine on cb radio, I use to chat to a chap often who was about 3 miles away (as the crow flys) sure it could of got out alot further !
