Re: TTI 880 transmitting issues

Just because it is the same brand, doesn't mean that it is necessarily the correct wiring configuration. It may be worth checking with whoever you purchased it from, to make sure it is definitely compatible with a TTi 881. This is the configuration.. https://www.thunderpole.co.uk/microphone-wiring-t...

Re: TTI 880 transmitting issues

Either the mic has the wrong wiring configuration, or it is faulty.

Re: Looking for advice

You really need to get the antenna lifted high up above the metalwork, so a couple of 6 foot poles attached together on the side of the container, with a decent base antenna on top should easily give you 10 miles. Something like the Thunderpole 5 should do the trick... https://www.thunderpole.co.uk/...

Re: How do I change president Barry to fm uk

Hi Matthew, You should be able to press the 'F' key to change between the UK channels and CEPT channels... see below... Note: In U configuration: In order to select the frequency band ENG, press several times F key (5) until “UK” appears in the display. In order to select the CEPT frequency band, pr...

Re: midland 77 104 no power helllllp

Hi,

We are located in Northampton, but unfortunately we don't carry out repairs on non-warranty radios any more. Mainly due to lack of components available and the price of new radios coming down.

Haha, I accept purple beer vouchers

No one really uses AM where we are but it may vary in different parts of the UK.

Re: Getting back into it...

The Mid Block is the same as the 40 EU channels are in all new multi channel CB's.

It is generally quieter in the UK as most people just tend to stay on the old 40 UK channels.

Re: Getting back into it...

If the dipole is tuned well it should perform better than a modulator. I would put it vertical though if you can.

Re: Getting back into it...

Hi Mike,

If the Harrier is working well, then just make sure you put a decent antenna on it and you should be fine.

Re: Getting back into it...

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Yes unfortunately size does matter when it comes to CB antennas...

The easiest way to find out how busy it is in your area without putting an antenna up is to look at our user map... https://www.thunderpole.co.uk/cb-radio-user-map.html

Regards,
Andy.
