Re: wheres the farmers gone ???

A lot of farmers seem to be going onto private 2 way radios. Seem to see more of those antennas than cb antennas!

Re: Tractor Antenna

Thanks for the replies. I would go for the Wilson 1000 but at £99.99 its a little expensive just now, maybe with some harvest overtime money

The trucker 90 is a bit small. I need a 5ft antenna to get the range i require.

Thanks everyone.......

Tractor Antenna

OK, so I drive a John Deere 6820 fitted with 2 yellow springers(5ft) on mirror mounts and my friend drives a Case MXU 135 with 2 red springers(5ft) also on mirror mounts. Both tractors have only had the antennas on less 6 months. Both of us have had terrible trouble with the grub screws coming out a...

Re: the super flexi antenna

I would not recommend puting a Sirio HY-POWER 3000 or Sirio ML145 on the mirrors like I have done to my JD 6820(Sirio ML145) and JD 6920(Sirio HY-POWER 3000) as over the summer I have ribbed both mounts off due to low trees. I find that both antennas dont give much way to trees but do when going int...

Re: Whar Rigs/Setups do you fellow Famers run?

Hmm.... over the summer I have wrecked my 2 mirror mounts under trees as the Sirio HY-POWER 3000 and Sirio ML145 odes not give much way to trees. The Sirio HY-POWER 3000 is currently mounted on the mudguard VIA a magmount just now. I'm going to buy 2 5ft yellow springers for my 6820 I think as they ...

Re: Are Most Twigs on Trucks just decorations ?

Where are you based Kamasa? I live in Airdrie, not far from Harthill.

A lot of tractor drivers have 2 antennas fitted to the mirrors but only 1 wired up as it looks smarter.

Re: Whar Rigs/Setups do you fellow Famers run?

Here is some pics of my setup in my JD 6820 and JD 6920. The JD 6820 had a TTI TCB 770 and ML 145 on the mirror and the JD 6920 has a midland 98+ and a SIRIO HY-POWER 3000 on the mirror. I'm getting about a 8-10 mile radius with the 6820. Not sure how far with the 6920 as I have only recently instal...

I'm looking for 2 bolt-on michelin men for my tractor. Does anyone know where I can get them apart from eBAY?
