Still got the high readings, but CB working good. Hearing my mates miles away, using a small (other company) cb.

The cb is 12v, the connection. I tried it connecting to 12v cigar point.

I removed my cb and siro antenna from my truck to fit I to newer model. I wired up to the same connections as some of my colleagues only to find out later that it was a 24v connection. Hi folks,


Balertwine back on channel after been off for a few years. I work in Aberdeen for a haulage company, mainly oil related.


I have used the cb on and off since the good old days of the AM rig's. It's a lot quieter on the airwaves now than the last time I was on.

Low signal output

I have just installed a new midland 78 into my truck. The output signal is only going half way. I have checked the swr, this is reading 1.2 on ch 40 and 1.5 on ch .

Should I just leave it? I have been using cb's on and off since the AM rigs, and never experienced this before
