Re: Suzuki Jimny instal

I went to great lengths installing a Thunderpole T2000 into the dash of my Jimny, and a through-the-roof mount for a Sirio ‘Blue Line’ antenna. The headlining had to come out, the centre-dash had to come off, and I had to cut away the cigarette-tray.

Well worth it, though....

Re: Antenna v Roof Box...?

I have a Wilson 1000 (drilled thru roof mount) right next to the roofbox on my Ford Ka. The antenna sits about 13" away from the edge of the box. I checked the SWR before and after, and only had a 0:2 difference. I think that might change radically if I were to start carrying metal items in the box,...

Re: Where to put the antenna

Hi Gonewiththewind, Fitting an antenna is a bit of a nightmare to fit to a motorhome. I ended up getting a sheet of 16SWG steel, 2' x 4' , and welded a Sirio mount to the centre. I then gave it three coats of white hammerite over 2 weeks. I bonded it to the roof of the motorhome (a 1999 Laika Ecovip...
