Well all just a little update on the parrot repeater project!! its now been up and running for about 2 weeks with the odd interruption! mainly due to a issue with the solar panel! We now have upgraded the panel from a 1.8w to a 10w! this is due to a lack of current! the repeater consumes 40-50ma on ...

Trying hard to bring 446 on as a uhf cb radio! some of the lads round here are really keen (fed up with olga) so im setting up a parrot repeater here in north dorset! ch8-13 Great little range tester and propagation tester! :D should get a good range on it as im on high ground and can make a 25 mile...

The ken wood is a 16 ch UHF handheld which is software programable id would say you have the wrong sub channel possibly? Tx on the kenwood and scan the sub channels on the midland you should be able to find it. If the two radios are on diff sub channels but are in close proximity the will still sort...

Looks good but that's about it! My advice don't waist your money I did!!! Mod is crap even with a after market mic and receives every piece of noise out there! NOT Impressed! :(

Results for 446 and 449 external base antenna- dont waste your time and money on trying different antennas (like i did!) just buy a diamond ive got the x300n dual band and the v2000 tri band and they are the only ammature antenna that gives a swr below 1.5>1 and work VERY well!! :D

hi

im looking for a homebase antenna i can use on 446mhz and 449mhz with a good swr and gain that will also cover 430mhz?

anyone got any ideas?

I come back to the forum 3 years later to say that I was wrong to say bin the CB. it has it's place, maybe not in Leicester where the good "spirit" of CB is abused by idiots constantly having a go at you if your not one of there little group, they seem to be lazy nodowells that sit on 19 and will n...
