Firestick radio quick disconnect opinions

HI Everyone

I am considering purchasing a Firestick Radio Quick Disconnect to put in my car.

Does anyone know how they work / How securely they hold the radio?

Also any opinions would be greatly appreciated

Cheers in advance

Re: Rarely transmitting on full power

Thankyou both for your replies :)

As the radio appears to work ok i think i will just leave it as it is for the minute but may may use of your diagram dragonfly if it does start to annoy me.

Cheers

Rarely transmitting on full power

Hi

My midland 38 cb seems to rarely go up to 5 bars when i am transmitting (although does seem to transmit reasonably) despite my SWR being well within the suggested safe range. Could this be a problem with the cb itself?

any advice would be greatly appreciated

Re: SWR meter problem

thanks for that

so its the cb thats more likely to be having problems than the SWR meter? it still seems to work fine is all.

is the final tx issue something that can be remedied?

when trying to check my SWR the other day i could not get the SWR meter needle to reach the set point

is this likely to be a problem with my SWR meter or something else?

i contacted midland and they said that it is an eu band only radio. i thought most radios where dual banded aswell. do you have any ideas on how to change the band?
