cbs are designed to be most efficient at 13.9 volts as this is the standard voltage of a car when running they were made to run at this voltage because the american waggons ran at 12 volt battery voltage so you need 13.9v to charge them running at a lower voltage they do not perform as well *King* ...

The PSW30 is switch mode, the PS30M was solid state. Would you please mind explaining what the difference is? Can they both do the same things? Mine is jammed between the seat and the centre console, and wired into the rear cigarette lighter plug.

It works alright... I wanted it on the dash but tea leaves around my area now days... Grrr.....
