squelch cuts down the background noise rf gain should always be fully turned clockwise as this if turned down will reduce the receive sensitivity of the radio rf / audio is for the incoming signal audio is a basic modulation meter so this button switches between them your cb is just an 80 channel f...

hi all just hought id add my 2 pence worth, ive been homebase for about 20 + years now im lucky as im in the sticks and dont get any interferance needle sits on 1/4 pound when none talking and thats on a sirio 827 60feet in the air! :mrgreen: have no problem getting a copy calling on the 19 anytime...

I've got a car and dont really want to fit an aerial to the roof, though have considered a magnetic one. Ive been given a 1.5 metre ish truck spring aerial, if I fit this to the underside of my parcel shelf, what would the reception/signal strengh be like? is it worth while doing? Thanks. nope [-X ...

no it shouldnt. press menu turn the knob till it reads channel stepping ( step ) and press enter then select 6.25 press enter and then vfo/mr twice to exit :)

glad to hear of your sucess i have a answer to your problem with the antenna length, you can lengthen the antenna by adding a quick release mount to the antenna this will lengthen it by 2-4" depending on which quick release you use
