hi all, i dont mean to be dumb or ask a silly question but i dont underdstand so thought i would ask... i have only had a cb for a few months and been using a mag mount in the roof, i want to use my cb now in my house and not having much luck with getting a low SWR on metal things in the home, lol so looking at getting a ourdoor antenna but not sure which to go for, looking not to bad and cheap :P and i dont understand how a outdoor antenna doesnt need a groundplane but a car antenna does :S any help would be great so i can learn more and understand how it all works, thanks.. james

stand off t&k brackets with a 2 meter pole will work fine only ever heard or new of 1 lightning strike and his handle was saint john so he was tempting fate anyway

20 quid seems expensive.

You need to use a pole. The pole clamps to the T&K's using U bolts, then the antenna clamps to the pole.

no the pole is simply to mount a round antenna to a flat surface on the the brackets and gets the antenna a bit higher

All the homebase antennas we sell come with brackets to attach them to a pole.

the only thing extra you will need is coax so if you order it from our sponsers they will sort you out with the full kit all you will have to do is drill and screw
