I've been playing around with handheld CBs for a while. What surprised me was just how much clearer my old harvard 510T`s are than the much newer intek h520 plus. I put this down the size of the antenna.

Now I want a base station antenna with bnc connector. It's a detached house so size isn't an issue but it does get windy. Do they all come with all the necessary fittings? Do I want built in ground planes or maybe an artificial electric one?

Any thoughts?

would think the antron 99 would fit the bill with a bnc/pl259 converter on the bottom end
