I have recently purchased a midland Alan 100 plus C.B. radio and i am looking for a antenna to use with it. i have been looking at the Thunderpole super nova but when i went down to my local C.B. radio shop i was told that I shouldn’t be using a antenna that is under 3.5 foot long as it will mess up my radio and then they pulled out a massive antenna that they recommended. If anyone could help with whether what the shop has said is true or not and whether the super nova is a good antenna to use it would be great. Thanks.

I am setting up a base station and will put up a silver rod type. Do you get much interference from them.? how high should I get it? I hope to get it fitted on a pole above the eves of the house. I will want to use sideband as well as UK FM.

no not a lot of interference from them if set up right and get as high as you can preferably mounted on a chimney stack

easily fitted with double mounting straps rond the stack so no drilling
