I have just installed a new midland 78 into my truck. The output signal is only going half way. I have checked the swr, this is reading 1.2 on ch 40 and 1.5 on ch .

Should I just leave it? I have been using cb's on and off since the AM rigs, and never experienced this before

As Stampman says, they are never that reliable, so as long as people can hear you I wouldn't worry about it.

Andy
