Hi there can any one help I have a benitone 5 star classic rig it is a strait 40 wanting more channels in it can this be done and where

NOT BEEN DONE FOR A LONG TIME now and there are a ot of expanded set out there brand new dont spoil an old classic

I would not bother butchering your classic cb and being technically illegal,engineering cost would not justify it.
multi-norm sets are so cheap nowadays and meet all the current legal specifications and bonus you'll have legal Am and SSB modes as bonus depending on what you buy!
Best advise from a RF engineer,leave it well alone and keep as is,may become a classic in mint condition!
