I have a problem with one of my xtr446 radios.

One is recieving and transmitting well. the other is transmitting fine however appears to be stuck on 'baby monitor'/'PRI' mode but wont recieve any transmissions, have checked that they are both on the same channel and interference number. I have tried holding down the 'mon' monitor button and tried switching off and on again, and as a last resort have pulled out the battery. I checked that it wasn't my other radio not transmitting properly with a completely different PMR446 (Motorola Talkabout T5422)

Some how i don't think that the monitor function is working problem.
I tried the troubleshooting in the manual but no luck.

All responses will be tried and i will let you know how I get on.

Cheers
Joseph.

I have exactly the same problem and I see on the internet that many more owners of the motorola xtr446 suffer from this very same problem. Yet no solutions found so far. Have you had any feed back on your posting via other channels, or maybe resolved the issue yourself? Please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Cheers
