I'm thinking of buying a couple of PMR446 handhelds and I was wondering if there was anybody actually using it in the North West area. More around the Blackburn, Darwen, Accrington area. If there's no-one on, not worth me buying them. I mean the 16 channels, not the toy ones.

I have recently come back on PMR 446 and i am in Sale, Cheshire.I am not far from Manchester and there is someone else on that i talk to and he lives up the road from me. I just use the basic Binatone MR 200 which does the job .I monitor channel 2 but also leave it on scan.

Since my last post, the Binatone MR200 got thrown in the sink full of soapy water . I have since got 2 Binatone Action 750s, secondhand off ebay for £12.80 including postage. Also they came with a twin charger unit.

Oh happy Days :D
