i liked using the both of them but the icom won due to better audio quality,

the lincoln didnt pick up any noise from my car,

i would like to get the tighter filter for ssb in the icom as i really only use ssb in it so i see that as a good buy

It's always swings and roundabouts - I'm liking the Stalker, but I can't get the zero channels like I can with the SS3900.

There was quite a few on using the same Icom as yours.

i was finding with the icom that "for example" users on 545 and i was 540 were causing noise on my freq, it was only with stations pushing serious power but still, hence the tighter filters are needed i think

i did enjoy using the lincoln, i thought it was going to be a pig to set up but plugged it in swr of 1.4 with the linear on, was on the air straight away, i think if i get the swr down to 1.1 i will get closer to 200 watts, i just got 150 with a swr of 1.4,

when the weather is nicer i will adjust it down but i was not getting out the car to adjust it down today it was pretty poor weather until about 5 when it started to get better.

skips only just starting to close down just now here "23.05"

I must put a rig back in the van now the skip is running - it'll be tidy to stop on the way home in a good spot :D

i think im going to start using my springer on the van like you said gary, might even try the shorter one as the longer one seems to spend more time horizontal due to the wind lol,

Here's my Thunderstick Triple Load on a fixed mount and quick disconnect - I'm thinking about keeping a 7ft Firestick in the back of the van too.

I'm thinking about putting a 3/8 spring on the Triple Load because, like you say, the big Springer is pretty wild
