Hi guys remember me?

Use to be on here all the time!! I lost interest in my CB set up and looking for something with more activity and guess Amateur Radio is the way forward ! I Have currently got a CB set up using an Antron 99. I have been looking at the HR-2800 on thunderpoles site, would this work with my current antenna ? also is there any test I need to take?

Sorry I'm completely new to the Amateur radio scene so don't know what I need,

Any help much appreciated,

Cameron

hi and welcome back you have been missed ham radio you need to sit your foundation licence at a local radio club you can find on rsgb site should take you about 4 weeks to get and that will allow you to use the 2800 legally

Just spoken to a chap from there and have arranged to go along this Thursday, there next course date is the 26th so hopefully I can book on to that, they charge £50 for the training and test, seems reasonable :D
