Hello All,
First of I hope that I'm posting in the proper section of the forum, apoligies if I'm in the wrong section.

Anyway I thought as we had used a Thunderpole Super Nova antenna throughtout our activation, and having made 1050 contacts into 55 DXCC's you might be interested in seeing how the Super Nova performed.

The equipment used was Yaesu FT-857D ( approx. 80/90 watts) and the Super Nova..... and we used GPS readings to verify our exact locatation as proof of validity.

We spent approx. 20 hours in total transmitting from 291 division ( British Sovereign Base Area, Akritori Cyprus) we did these in 5 x 4 hour session.

We did not want to transmit from that area for any longer periods than was neccessary, because this is a very security sensitive area, we also varied these sessions some in the morning and the remainder in the afternoon, this was done primarily so that during the morning periods we could work stations from the Pacific & Asia.
The afternoon sessions were for the benefit of operators from N & S America and the Caribbean area.

Here is the link to our Youtube video entitled 291 VOG/DX The Movie

There are a series of other videos from this activation and from 110VOG/DX Cyprus, you can also see the full logs from both activations, you can view these by visiting my wife's website http://corsicaislanddx.webs.com/

Thanks for reading guys.

PS...videos best viewed in full screen mode with SOUND ON
