It was the Thunderpole Boomerang but unfortunately it looks like we've seen the last of them now.

We do have a Sirio equivalent called the Balcony....

Whats the difference between 27W, 27A and 27-200?

Hi Gordon,

They are pretty much exactly the same antenna.

The difference between the 3 is the length and power handling. The middle of the range (27A) is most similar in size to the Boomerang.

Also the 27-200 can be tuned to do up to 200Mhz, but this wont affect you if you just need it for CB.

Cool..the boomerang looks like an upside-down Wotpole from the early 80's but with a 45 degree bent over aerial :) This stuff sure brings back the memories..boo hoo, I feel old! :shock:

thougt a boomerang was a piece of wood you could not throw away and a balconey was something you stood on watching tyhe sun go down

but could be wrong
too mutch vino

mate and me had booms made buy sirio looked a bit div to one in pic \ got out ok for smallish ant. got out 20 -30 miles no pobs. dont moant to close to house and will swr in ok. just moved back to peronts hosue have got pem to put 21 ft ant up but got to put it low down .not ideal as higher the beter\ may shorten by makeing coiled wire top bit can get down to 13 ft and put higher up,,, wots it with pers not likeing big ants.the fist thing they say is eye sore

ok,,,,, in the second picture i can see it is being held up for the picture,,

but in the first picture it is just floating in the sky,, :shock:

what,, no mounting required, just float it to where you want it :D

pictures seem to have vanished Andy lol but i would think 1 stand of bracket with a 4 ft pole with the boomerang attached to the pole via a U-bolt
