am new to cb s and wondered whats the difference you talk abou upperrside band and stuff like that am confused sorry ,can anyway any way can simply give me a heads up on it all cheers

am is amplitude modulated and fm is frequency modulated if you imagine a duel carrage way then the left hand lane is upper side band and the right hand lane is lower side band
so the road can carry all modulations at the same time hope that helps a bit

Also AM and USB/LSB are not legal to use in the UK (at the moment) but FM is fine to use anywhere.
