Hi forums
I live in a block of flats 10 floors up and grabbed hold of a balcony antenna the boomerang
I have mounted it on an old sky bracket it currently stands quite close to the balcony above
I would say half a metre and all I am picking up on my 3900 is 9 pounds of static on virtually
Every channel the swr seems ok but can't understand why the performance is so poor anyone
Got any suggestions??

the problem is with broadband hubs is that they run on 3650–3700 MHz band & they do interfere with CB radio frequency`s also here is something else i have found what can interfere with cb frequency's Certain high power cordless telephones operating on frequencies below 853 MHz can cause interference to other radio users also which transmit in the frequency band 470-854 MHz.
so basically not looking good for CB radio users who have Neighbours who have wireless networks or have a wireless network hub in there own home & cordless phones

Buy yaself a few ferrite plugs to put on ya cables also it wouldn't hurt making an air choke
5-6 winds of coax around a 4 and a quarter inch diameter near the antenna base (if you cant find anything to wind it around just use a 2l plastic bottle that's close enough)
just do a google search for air choke or ugly balun
