does any body remember the 27meg midland home base unit,
it looked like it had a deposit safe knob for a channel changer right in the middle and lots of coulored fancy lights on it and had its own power supply built in ??? and built in s/w/r/ and signel meter,
if any one out there knows the where abouts of a radio or knows any one wanting to sell one can thay please let me know,
failing that even if you just have a pic of one can i see it becouse i havent seen one in years ...dont qwote me on this but i think the numbers might have been 79/??? or some thing like that

do you mean the 76900 base station ? I quite fancy one myself but they're goin for good money though Ive just looked at one online and its at £56.00

Available nowadays is the Midland 8001. It's VERY retro looking with big twiddly knobs and allsorts! I run mine off a psu ('cause it's 12v). They're NOT cheap but it reminds me of my old 3001 I had in the 80's!! Of course it's much much better!!!
