Realistic answers please?

As I've said in my intro post I intend to buy a rig. However, after reading the various forums, it sounds like I'll be wasting my time and money. What with idiots playing music, no one out there and PLT, is it worth me buying a rig? If I do, should it be a basic one, or should I spend a bit extra and get the new spec? Any advice appreciated.

BASIC ONE WILL DO and all areas of the country vary with the amount of people who think they are the first to dead key and play music so until you set up you will not know

Thanks for your advice Stampman, I think you're right. What is the best cheapest rig, and antenna about at the mo? Or should I just phone Richard again at Thunderpole?

I was going to Stampman, but there is a CB shop in Liverpool so i'm going there. You've got to support small shops, otherwise there'll be non left.
