I've had my CR-V for 3 weeks now and finally got round to installing a CB.

After taking my time to figure out where to install, I worked out that with a bit of quality time with my dremel the CB will fit in the slot that was occupied by the ash tray in the dash.

Took an afternoon to get right, but now the CB's sat in the dash, and almost looks like its supposed to be there.

I'll post a pic or two tomorrow when its light.

The good thing is the ash tray mounts on a metal frame in the centre console with 3 screws, so If i have to remove the CB I can pop the frame back in and re-install the ashtray, so it wont be too obvious what I'd done!
I'm no expert, please take anything i say with a tablespoon of salt!

Heres a general view of the CB fitted (taken on a camera phone, so apologies for the picture quality), the tones of black on the CB and the cars own controls match a lot better in real life:

Heres a second view, the cubby hole below the CB's also been modded to become a 4 way power outlet one of which is used to power up the CB:

I'm in the middle of drawing up designs for a custom antenna mount at the moment, for something a little more permanent.

Nice one, looks perfect. Often to get the best setup you can ajust things with a little bit of inginuity and hard work.

Well done!
