cannot say on the wilson never used them ,but have used the sirio 4000 hi power and it works very very well had some corking contacts with it mate

back in 1982 when i had my first rig it was brill,all my mates had em,we were on them all the time ,eyeballs ,windups, always messing with the aerials getting them higher if parents would let you have 1 or using indoor wires and fire-sticks,all the boy racers had them in their cars,i miss this part ...

HI i would use a separate swr meter then compare it with your radio mate,when the skip comes in 555 will be buzzing again been looking at my old qsl cars from 10 year ago ,well impressed

whats your location mate are you on a hill in a dip ,aerial location all these to be taken in to consideration ,just remember you will get out further with 100w but can you pull in stations who can hear you .no the burner wont damage a rig as long as the swr is ok
