Anyhoo, thanks for the video link offplanet, and to steve, for helping sort out these gadgets.

It's starting to get a ...

Aah, got ya! 8)

So it could be a good tool for when ajusting your mic gain, or say a new power mic as such, or anything that could create that shift! :|

Thanks again guys for helping me through this box of boxes! =D>

With out you guys I would be definatly giving it some of this... ](*,)

Some of witch I've never really messed with before, so I've posted said items in this forum to get a bit of info on

This post is no ...

To the rescue again Steve!

I thought as much. :| Because I've seen these things in all sorts of shapes n sizes, prob to do with frecuency ranges and power handling capabilities n so on.

Hiya guys, Me again with my box of bits! :|

Oh I get ya, I understand now! :|

So really Its the last dance, a radio safe guard buffer if you like, should you not being able to get that reflection down!

Thanks for spelling out for me disgwylfa ...

Nice 1,
Am I right in thinking that it cant all be roses!
I guess some of the output power is sacrificed in having to load this gadget, in order to allow this tune to happen!
Billybob..*

Ok,
So the two are labled 'TUNE' and 'LOAD'.
So Im Tuneing down first as low as it will go, then turn on the LOAD knob to see if I can the needle lower!
Is this correct. :?
Sorry if Im being a bit thick. Its just that ive never really messed with these things, now Im intrigued!

Billybob ...

I got ya!

Don't think I need it, the highiest SWR reading I get On my 10 meter S9 is about 1.5 on around 15-20 watts.

So how would you use it, in regards of in line fitting and tune?
I would like to know, just in case 1 day you never know. Plus I do like to have a mess now-n-again :)

Is it as ...

Hi Guys,

Ive reacently came across a box with a few old SWR/power meters and odd boxes with knobs on.
All claiming to have some thing or other to do with CB radios.

Ive reacently put a post on the Tech help page about a old single knob SWR/Power meter witch I neded help on how to use, witch ...

IS it really that simple!

Looking at it now, there is a 'SET' point on the far right of the power meter.

So key up, ajust the needle to the set point, read the SWR on the other meter.

Think I can manage that. "Who said men cant multi task."

Thanks again Stampman *King ...

Hiya guys,

I've come across an old Oscar 171-B SWR/Power meter.

It is a twin meter left meter being the power reading meter, and the right meter showing the SWR.
Between the two meters is a single knob with 0 TO 10 increments, and thats all! no FWD/REF switch! :?

On the back are the standard ...
