Re: How do you stop Wifi interference in your Shack

OK done some home work, and found the answer =D> =D>

If you have like me, the problem is caused by BT Vision.
To be more precise, the Commtrend / PLT adapters you plug into the mains to enable vision and Broadband into your home.
These devices give out over 30db of interference across CB and HF ...

Re: Breaker next door cant hear me !!

Thanks for the reply Stamperman,
One question - would it possibly be damage to his FET that would result in his inability to hear me, I only ask as he could hear other stations(Mobile) on the same strech of road at legal 4 watt giving him 5lb but not me at 20 watts.
cheers ForzaCFC :?

Oh Well here we go again,
Recently fitted a President George with Sirio 4000 megawatt, swr ok 1.2 - 1.5. Ive had no problems for past month or so with tx between local and dx stations. 3 days ago parked up in Felixstowe and decided to switch from the standard mic to a Astatic road devil and my RF ...

Re: 25 Watts or 150 Watts

Any ideas where to start looking for an amp for the Ranger 2950?

Use a RM KL203 Mosfet Linear amp around £37.00. 10w in am/fm, 20w in SSB, will give you 100w am/fm and 200w SSB plenty of punch for the money and extrememly reliable. they use 4 rm3 transistors, are very reliable and take 10amp (13 ...

Re: problem with new length of co-ax...

for 11m operation run your coax in 11ft multiples,

Absolute rubish [-X [-X
11m has no correlation to 11ft !!!!!!!!!!!

Well thanks for the scientific replies, always easy to dispel without proof to back up the argument so here's mine.
I knew somwhere I had read about this previously, and admit ...

Re: problem with new length of co-ax...

for 11m operation run your coax in 11ft multiples, I read this in the 'Screwdrivers guide to CB Radio' section on radio theory, swr etc or something like that.
Anyway tried out there suggestions regarding coax and was running around 77ft of coax up a full length scaffold pole and into a sirio copy ...
