how do you tune a longwire to sat an 857 with an atu please? also do u use a balun as well, wanting to learn as much as poss. also a good radio book that tells you all this info. also what sort of atu to buy.

has any body on here used the chapstick mp1 or the buddipole? also the radios i was on about was the yaesu 857d and the icom ic7000. not the 817 or 706.

hi will be wanting to get new radio soon, cant make my mind up between the 857, and ic 7000, any advice? also how well would a chapstick mp1 or buddipole work with these? as im wanting to go backpacking alot with radio and the antenna.

i need to get it down a bit, have a siro 4000 on a magmount, its on a corsa, conected to pres walker. have fitted the swr metre and the best is 1.5 can i lower this any way? have tried to shorten the ariel and move it up higher a bit, sr stays the same, help?

any body no how good this is please? now £400, is it worth it?

magmounts dont stick to ally, so need some other form of metal

hi i want to use my sirio4000 in the garden, dont want it fixed, if i buy a groundplane to put it on would this work? or how to make one, put it on biscuit tin high swr.

which set up r u refuring to? the sirio 4o00, or the 99 with fire tip?
