Re: T800 no distance

Hi, The first thing to check on any CB radio with no range or range issues, is the RF gain control. Re: Where to start

We have a few ready-made CB radio kits that come with the radio, antenna and mounting kit here... https://www.thunderpole.co.uk/cb-radio-packs.html

Our CB Starter Pack is ideal for most people...

But if your budget will allow then we have a Premium CB Kit too.

Re: Uniden 200

Hi, yes it should have the UK 40 channels which haven't changed since 1981.

We just have access to 40 EU channels too now, which you can also use AM and SSB on.

Yes the Uniden 200 was a 40 channel UK radio, and the UK channels are still the same.

Re: TTI 880 transmitting issues

Just because it is the same brand, doesn't mean that it is necessarily the correct wiring configuration. It may be worth checking with whoever you purchased it from, to make sure it is definitely compatible with a TTi 881. This is the configuration.. https://www.thunderpole.co.uk/microphone-wiring-t...

Re: TTI 880 transmitting issues

Either the mic has the wrong wiring configuration, or it is faulty.

Re: Looking for advice

You really need to get the antenna lifted high up above the metalwork, so a couple of 6 foot poles attached together on the side of the container, with a decent base antenna on top should easily give you 10 miles. Something like the Thunderpole 5 should do the trick... https://www.thunderpole.co.uk/...
