Re: Thunderpole T-3000 First Impressions

Well over a week on and apart from over heating a few times this radio is working well! We have spent hundreds of hours testing this radio in development and haven't experienced any issues with overheating during normal use. The radio has a small design, but it has an extremely big heatsink and whe...

We absolutely pride ourselves in our after sales service, and this is something that has helped us stay in the CB game for over 30 years.

Therefore we always investigate complaints and I will speak to the person that answered your call today, I will let you know what the outcome is.

Andy.

Re: Lost Whip section from Orbiter

Hi Enterprise,

This is very strange as we do sell the whips and anyone who calls us can buy one over the phone.

Regards,
Andy.

Re: T800 Buzz

Hi Al.ze, Looking at your video, this isn't a problem that we have seen before with the T-800. It may be best for us to get it back here for testing in our workshop to rule out a faulty radio, if you can email me directly on andy@thunderpole.co.uk I will be able to organise getting it sent back for ...

Re: T-2000 'LO' indicator

Hi Graham,

The LO indicator isn't anything to worry about. Basically the Thunderpole T-2000 radio can be exported to countries where 8w can be used, however in the UK 4w is the standard. So on when it is set to 4 watts it shows LO on the screen.

Hope that clears it up.

Re: General help required - new kit!

On a magnetic mount the ground is achieved through something called capacitive coupling. Although there is no direct connection between the ground of the car and the bottom of the mag mount, at the frequency that you are transmitting on the impedance will be low enough for there to be an effective g...

Re: Best home base antenna for the money please

We would (obviously!) recommend our own antenna, the Thunderpole 5.

Not only because it is ours, but we genuinely have had lots of very good reviews of it.

Re: General help required - new kit!

Hi Rob, With the Apollo 2 antenna that comes with that kit, you should be expecting to get a range better than that. We have tested it to a range of approx 3-4 miles with no problems, so there are a couple of things to check to try and get a better range. SWR meters are the most useful tool when dia...
