quick update, the swr reading is channel one 1.5.
channel 20 1.5.
channel 40 just fractionaly under 2. raised the attena up as high as it will go. but cannot get it any lower. are these readings ok. advice is always greatfully recieved.

decent ground plane
anyone got any suggestions on how to get a decent ground on our disco 1.
the antenna is mounted on the gutter at the rear of the car.
if i do need an extra ground where do i take it from/to.

just had delivered the intek 520 plus hand held kit. so a thankyou to richard (sales) for excellent service, will be having some fun setting the unit up in the landy this afternoon

1998 discovery 300tdi 50th anniversary,
1994 discovery 300tdi auto, (for when me shoulder goes poop)
no rigs fitted yet. but hopefully it will be delivered soon
will be going for the midland 42 hand held, any advice on external anttenas would be most welcom.

just looking into the prospect of perchasing a hand held c b any recomendations and what range do they have. interested in the one in the adveture pack from thunder pole, any advice would be very usefull.
