thanks for the reply! would it work ok just to have the squelch to the point where it cuts off the noise?

i am wondering is there any specific way to set the rf gain and squelch so that they will work the best or can they work against each other, help would be apreciated,

the speaker in my tti tcb 550 stopped working and its a pain with out it in the tractor.
i was wondering if i just bought and extension speaker like the one in the link, would it put out the sound even though the internal speaker is broke.

Sorry but im dont know anything really about cb's but can somebody please tell me does the tri-star(in the link below) act as a groundplane and bring down swr??

so if i was to just scrape off the paint from the end of the mirror arm and mount it on there it should work fine?

so theres no way of earthing it to anything using a wire or earthing strap?

I dont know too much about cb and aerials so im am wondering if you can earth an aerial by running an earthing strap or wire from the aerial to somewhere that has a good earth, i want to know if this could give it any better of a groundplane?
im using a mirror mount and a mini orbitor on a tractor ...

Just wondering were people mount their cb aerials on their new holland tractors, and where is the best place to put them.

Hi,
I am wondering if i mount an antenna onto the bracket of the spotlight on the tractor will the earth be good enough?
The bracket is steel and is bolted to the frame of the cab.
