I had the CRT S mini and it was a really nice rig and easy to use and program the country codes in. If you arent already aware, the EC setting is the uk fm and the EU is the old FCC band also known as CEPT. You have a great rig there.

The only advice i can give is look for the rig on test on you tube.I have the CRT One N that has the S meter and im still trying to figure out the RF gain myself, lol I have tried mine on all settings from 06 right up to 54 and still dont undertand it. Good luck anyway

I havent got one myself but i am tempted.Its a shame that we cant have more power and channels on PMR. Lets face it, 0.5w really sucks.I ended up getting rid of mine and they were really nice, Binatone Action 750s but useless in the house.

The Baofeng walkie talkies can be re programmed with the 8 PMR 446 channels making it possible for you to get a lot further than the rubbishy PMRs that are on sale at stupid prices. Instead of 0.5w, the Baofeng with 446 programmed in to it will give you 5 watts

Since my last post, the Binatone MR200 got thrown in the sink full of soapy water . I have since got 2 Binatone Action 750s, secondhand off ebay for £12.80 including postage. Also they came with a twin charger unit.

maybe come christmas, more people will come on the cb. Where i lived it was channel 19 but im not bothered whether its 14 just as long as the cb gets people on it.Would be nice if the caling channel was nationwide.That way people who are mobile will know exactly what channel to call out on.

it is sad yeah, and just to think 34 years ago, cb was booming and full of people.

I remember listening to the Police on the VHF band on my radio.Them bleeps were very nice on the ears, lol
