Just to add to this, I have downloaded a frequency chart that seems to match my rig which starts at 25,611 and ends on 29,201. However on this chart it says channel 19 should be 27.785 but my channel 19 seems to be 27.781.

Is this right and sorry for all the questions.

With regard to scanning, is it possible to scan anything interesting with my magnum s9 or do you need the proper kit.

Just thought it would help pass away the quiet times whilst taxi ing.

Bought it from a little old ham man up in the hills of consett, apparently he bought it 6 weeks ago from a cb shop in the local area that was closing down.

Although he had been using it as a home rig, he had all the boxes etc and it has totally solved my problem, works like an absolute dream.

Hopefully problem might be solved. Midland CB stopped working last night and local paper had a Magnum S9 for sale at 125. Decided to buy it and will test it tonight.

Thanks for the quick reply. The antenna just says cb line sirius and is black with a red band. The mag has no markings but is large and flat. Think they cost £27.

The shopkeeper didnt tune the antenna as he said this was done at the factory? Presume this is what the swr does?
