lol - they found the CB base unit at his gaff, and it's now back in my gaff :)

So i've ordered another aerial (Thunderpole Thunderstick 7') with a mirror mount, plus an SWR meter and an external speaker. :D

I had a call from the Police this mnorning - they'd pulled a DNA match from my van and put someone in the frame for the theft!! Result!! Good work South Wales Police :D

SO, now i just need an antenna, and maybe an SWR meter to make sure it's all set up tidy.

1981 T25, diesel (took out the original 1600 and put in a 1900 from a '98 Seat Ibiza), autosleeper conversion, built-in spirit-rack :mrgreen:

hi and welcome buy yourself a good antenna :D :D :D Thanks for the welcome!! Can you recommend a good antenna, but one that is a wee bit cheaper than the Wilson above? The Orbiter 1.55m i had in the van seemed to be ok, but i never did an SWR check on it and the range seemed quite limited to my unt...

For the time being the Wilson 1000 is a bit out of my price range, but i'll certainly bear it in mind as an upgrade later on :)
