My Amstrad 900 will only pick up rx if the squelch is tuned completely anti-clockwise ? And I get sound if I plug in an external speaker not from the internal one..
Any ideas please ?

It could be the internal squelch control that is misaligned, but I wouldn't recommend touching that yourself without a 27mhz signal generator otherwise you could make it worse.

The internal speaker could have gone, or the ext. speaker socket could be playing up.

Probably a good idea to get it serviced.

Andy.

I have cleaned all the filters and cleaned out all over and ensured the "brush" switch is switched on but I can not longer the brushes to rotate.
Does anyone have any ideas?
