DXER = PERSON WHO TALKS INTERNATIONAL OR AT LONG DISTANCES

slip should read skip ie the signals bouncing off the ionasphere so travelling a lot further around the world

ssb = single side band a form of transmisson

so what about LSB, and USB?

A lot of radios in ebay are advertised as being SSB, but when you read the description they say they offer USB/LSB
I'm no expert, please take anything i say with a tablespoon of salt!

USB = Upper Side Band

LSB = Lower Side Band

imagine a dual carrage road the full width of the road can be either am or fm modulated the right hand lane can be lower sideband and the left hand lane can be upper side band therefore you could have 4 people using the road

am
fm
usb
lsb

hope this helps
