hi all.
having problems fitting a twig to my canvas roofed landrover.
it seems anywhere i fit it i cannot get the swr down its normally of the scale!
is this because its alloy bodied or because im not getting a good enough earth on the mount?
its a sirio hypower twig with so239 thru body mount.

help please

check mthe mount although if you are getting a reading then that should be ok if the swr is higher on 40 then chop a bit off the whip if its higher on 1 then its an earth problem

Was expecting problems last week when I fitted my first cb & aerial as I was away for the weekend and was desparate to try it out.

Get yourself a military roll bar under the tilt and mount to that, mine perfect so far (fingers, legs everything crossed) :D

got it sorted just drilled a hole in the front bumper and fitted it there!
works a treat wont do much for distance though !
but then again its only for use when im out with mates so distance isnt needed :D
