swr is always last in line to the antenna so it would be thus
rig---burner---swr---antenna

no remove the swr meter as it has a unshielded connection in it and you will lose power through it

Wonder why decent swr meters have power rating to 1k if they need to be removed

you mean your trying to swr a dummy load??
personally id leave the swr inline the power loss from a well made swr meter would be minimal and you can always check your swr as you hop about the bands
Also not having your swr inline would make the use of a non automatic atu abit pointless

swr meter is always last in line to the antenna unless your using a atu in which case that would be last your looking at reflected radio waves comming back down the line to the radio if you have a power amp after the swr meter your not getting a true reading from the antenna so advising people to do otherwise would be wrong
a swr meter is used to swr the antenna not the set

swr meter is used to set the antenna to the frequancy you are using not the amount of power you are putting up it
