Are Most Twigs on Trucks just decorations ?
Was at the Truckers fuel tax convoy today and went past them on the M8 passing Harthill services. Most of them had Twigs all over but not one of them seemed to be on air. So is it just a matter of it looks good and I saw the film Convoy so I am having one on my truck. Or are all the truckers that scared of Smokey that they daren't pick up the Mike .Times were that if you needed info there was always a Knight of the road at the other end of the mike now it seems that all the wattage coming from a truck is through the lights and not the Twig.
most truckers run on there company channel so 19 will be quite they run on comp channel cause they dont get music players on in the big citys from frustrated radio one dj's
if it anit broke dont fix it

That surprises me really. where I live Ive got lorries goin past all day long and there seems to be quite a few on air on different channels

Where are you based Kamasa? I live in Airdrie, not far from Harthill.
A lot of tractor drivers have 2 antennas fitted to the mirrors but only 1 wired up as it looks smarter.
