President cb SWR question

Hello to all. I am planning to fit new cb gear into my Defender 90.

I have decided on the President as I have used them in the past.

Simple question regarding an external SWR meter, do i really need one ?
The President Grant II, has one built in. Is there anything to be gained by buying an external swr meter, if the new rig has one built in ?
