Is it just me or is there more activity on the airwaves when its raining...

Now is this due to better reception, due to the rain ???

Or is it just as simple as, due to rain nobody can do much else so jump onto their cb`s... ?

Well it’s pouring down today, so what’s better than to sit down, do a bit of surfing whilst listening to the radio
Oh yes almost forgot about quaffing a couple of beers as well  if that not multitasking then I don’t know what is!

Hello Mr Paul,
Yes regarding the mikes, remember looking in our ‘then’ local cb store (Cats Whiskers of Reading) approximately 26 years ago and thinking I would like one of them and also a K40 aerial lol, well got back into this cb malarkey last year and was disappointed that sadelta no longer make these, so started hunting around.
The memory pro was advertised in the Thunderpole catalogue but not on their website so presumed they had sold out (Thunderpole are located about 3 mile from me) anyway called in for something else and noticed they still had 2 on the shelves! (Unfortunately I had already got one somewhere online). Then was looking at that auction site and noticed the ‘echo master plus classic’ (the one I remembered from the old days) it had never been used, still new in the box, so just had to bid on it.

Hello Cam
Never heard anyone on ch18 before, mostly everyone here start on ch19fm

Your high swr may be down to your pl259 plugs – check they are soldered properly and also the braiding is intact and giving a good earth

Glad you got it sorted

lol was intending on going fishing sometime this year but just not had the time, there are 2 there from an army store located at Ingoldmells Skegness
Also got the coat and trousers to go with it but won't be wearing it altogether, can just imagine causing a few accidents - hmm you say the tree just jumped out in front of you - yes officer lol

The tipple was John Smiths (and the scotch it out of sight  )
