Hi, could anyone tell me what size power supply i need just to run a kl 400 amp, i have a president lincoln running on a 7a psu, the amp trips out when i key up with the amp on position 1 on ssb but ok on fm at any power level.

Thanks in advance

Think u will need a 30amp supply minimum for that baby .
Shes a 200fm 400ssb and likely to pull around 20amps at position 6 if u put a 10wat radio into it.
If u put a 4wat radio into it and use it below position 4 she will probably pull about 11 amps .
Your Lincoln will pull around 4 or 5 amps .

U will have to check the recomended SSB input for that burner and adjust the Lincoln output to match .
Also the SWR of the antenna may be to high .
