Big part of market for CBs are for DISASTERS and or go bags.
What I see is problem with no one is educating the public the importance of antenna. The manufacturers are selling rubber duck
Antennas or up grade 2 foot antennas. On best day the 2 foot has a range 4 miles but typically 2 miles. A simple change to 50 inch antenna gives range of 10 miles on real good day or 4-5 miles on most days.
I have on my CB is a 50 inch and a portable ½ wave antenna that gives me over 20 miles on most days where there is homes are. Businesses type building is 10 to 15 miles
This type of information what the new to CB world needs. Back 1960's and 1970’s everyone new the important of good antenna
