Wilson 1000

I have had a Wilson 1000 for about 3 years, can they wear out I seem to have lost a lot of its receiving ability. My SWR is about 1.7. Any suggestions guy's..

wilson 1000 do not wear out clean the mounting if you have changed motors then the whip can be too short also the recieve very well in fact better than the std antenna so check for interferance from the motor ie: dropper ,altinator or even fridge

whats swr at 1 and 40 if higher on 1 then you need a longer whip

Problem sorted, the Ariel had been moved so that the mag mount was not flat on the roof of the cab.. Must remember to check it after every service..............

The Wilson 1000 is probably the best mobile Ariel on the market, not cheap but you only get what you pay for...

A few months ago I bought a Sirio 3000 to replace my ageing Wilson 1000, but after using the Sirio for only one day I put the Wilson back on.
Absolutely no comparison...

exactly same antenna as a 1000 just built a lot stronger to take a lot more power

can you use a wilson 1000 on usb for mobile use and are they any good on 10m
it does 26 30 so it should be ok
