Hi Guys,
Just finally got round to setting aup a A99 in the garden with 20m of RG58 into my 2950DX, all working well except the constant irritating whine of Wifi across the spectrum; The big problem I have, is the house is semi detached, plus both my neighbours and myself have Wifi. Is their anyway I can filter this out [-o< [-o< , I cant really operate with a constant noise source of 6 - 9lb of QRM
thanks for your advice in advance

How do you stop Wifi interference in your Shack
OK done some home work, and found the answer =D> =D>
If you have like me, the problem is caused by BT Vision.
To be more precise, the Commtrend / PLT adapters you plug into the mains to enable vision and Broadband into your home.
These devices give out over 30db of interference across CB and HF frequencys, the legal requirement is 6db with regards to in the home levels, at this moment of writing Im getting spattered on CH 19 with upto now 20db over 9.
There is a great read up on the forum, regarding this problem - http://qrm.me.uk - An interesting point raised on that forum is that the interference can emit to over 800m from the source in some cases, also BT are required by law and Ofcom to eliminate the source - FUNNY HOW YOUR NEVER TOLD THIS !!
Well Ive just completed my 1st of Im sure many emails to BT over this and we'll see how we go.
I'll keep the TP forum upto date on this, as Im sure after reading the QRM forum, many are going to realise this just well maybe where most of our qrm is coming from.
