Recently bought a 148 mk2 off fleabay as ive always wanted one, got it for a good price, took the back off it to inspect it as the channel 9 switch doesnt work.. Found all this... Some kind of mod? Which is connected to the band knob. Anyone know what this is all about?

It says COB2meg on the Eprom. It dosnt look like a FM addon board. Is your 148 GTL radio the 40 channell AM model or the 40 AM / 80 SSB set . Or is it the 148 GTL DX with 3x 40 channells AM FM USB LSB .
